Colin

I spent about half an hour carefully writing report.
When I try 'Submit Report' I get message: "An error
submitting the scan results. Please check you Internet
proxy settings and try again."
As far as I know I don't have any 'proxy' settings
enabled on this machine and never have.. don't need to
with staightforward dial-up connection.

Head-ache.

This error is generic for not being able to reach the server. I believe the
issues are transient, and probably volume related. Please try several
times--or leave it and try again late at night or early in the morning.

Tried again to send Suspected Spyware report - no luck.

The content of it I enter here in the hope that some MVP
might take notice:

After 14 scans with MS AntiSpyware 'permanently
removing'/'blocking' everything possible... popup alert
windows appear at every system startup refering to Yahoo
Companion BHO and Popular Screensavers Adware Bundler.
Every scan finds Flashget (adware) and Fun Web Products
(adware). Also IE Toolbar {42CDD1BF-3FFB-4238-8AD1-
7859DF00B1D6} ..unknown... file is missing.. CANNOT be
removed or blocked by MS AS.
In addition:
I have some suspicions regarding RealArcade product due
to its behaviour on my machine. I did see what looked
like a popup ad, very briefly, in RealArcade window
early on; every time I went to play one of their [not
internet] games the thing tried to dial up three times;
after uninstalling it I still had to manually delete
about 5 folders scattered around in Programme Files.
Ad Aware scan found about 30 instances of 'possible
browser hijack' linked to 'Mahjong Medley' which I had
from both RealArcade and Reflexive Arcade. It looks to me
as if RealArcade hijacked the other 'M. M.'.
I think they're all gone now, my suspicion hasn't.
RealArcade?.. NO THANK YOU!!

BTW: If Bill Sanderson is reading this..
Thanks again for the advice on System Restore, I think
it's exactly right.
I fixed my display problems easy enough [after trying
everything else], went to Display Properties and reset
Appearance / Windows and buttons, plus customized font
size etc..

I have the same problem.I to cant send a report and the
guidance I get from the program doesnt help me, I am no
ekspert but just an advanced user. So it has to be simple.

I don't have an answer. At home, the issue is transient--if I persist in
sending, after awhile it goes out. However, I was in a work setting
yesterday, and the error was instantaneous, and I couldn't get past it.

It was a bookstore, with a dsl and nat router--no different from my home
network.
