I'm on XP. I was watching my Temporary Internet Files in IE Properties, and
deleted them, as I do daily, and one kept regenerating (a new one every few
seconds) though I wasn't surfing. It began with "Gateway.dll" and had a
string behind it which meant nothing to me, but it also contained an IP,
which is 207.46.5.8. I did a Google search on it (finding only vagueness in
IP searches) and it took me to the SARG website sarg.sourceforge.net/ and says
" SARG Squid Analysis Report Generator is a tool that allow you to view
where your users are going to on the Internet. "
MS antispyware isn't catching this, or anything else, not Adaware or Norton
Antivirus. Not sure where it's categorized, but wanted to report it to you.
I unplugged my cable and rebooted, cleaned it, ran sfc /scannow and sfc
/purgecache and so far it hasn't returned.
