I have a strange problem with web site access that has just popped up
recently. I have three computers, one running 98se and two using
2000Pro SP2.
I can access all sites in both IE 5.5 and Netscape 7.1 on the 98se
machine but I can't login to one of my online banking sites or go
anywhere after sign-in on eBay on the 2000Pro machines.
I suspect that these sites have upgraded their servers recently and
introduced the problem in order for it to affect both 2000Pro machines
at the same time.
The only thing the two 2000Pro machines have in common is the OS
(different mb, vid, sound,etc.).
All three machines go through the same router/firewall with one of the
2000Pro machines in the No.1 slot and the other 2000Pro and the 98se
machine on a hub tied to the No.4 slot.
All I can guess is that the two 2000Pro machines are affected by some
common security settings but I can't find them.
Has anyone heard of this type of situation or know of a solution?
Thanks
