I'm running before SUS without Active Directory and what
i'm doing is i'm installing SUS client to deploy Windows
update to my W2k prof boxes.

Now I have AD implemented in my network and I enabled a
GPO to deploy my SUS. How can I test or check if my SUS is
working using my GPO and not the registtry client
configure before.
Please advise. Do i need still a local admin in order to
install SUS using GPO or the Policy conf in Windows update
is enough.
cheers

Hello,

If you have at least service pack 3 installed on the
workstations they will be able to receive the updates from
the SUS server. The GP must be set on the computer level
and not the user level. If on the user level it will not
work. To see if its working get a test machine that only
has Internet Explorer 5.0. The SUS server will update to
IE 6 and a reboot will occur depending on how you have SUS
configured.

Hope this helps...
