Trying to set up an SUS Server in my Win2K/2003 domain.

I have installed the server, synchronised the content, set the Group Policy
options and checked that these settings have been pushed out to the client.

But when I go to Windows Update on the client, it still goes to check the
main update site.

Can anyone help here, or is there a better list to post to?

Thanks

Hello Peter,

You still need to install the client piece. Here is a link to the white
paper. It will answer most questions you have about SUS.

Umm no., there is not client if you are using Group policy as long as you
have Auto Update on your boxes. If it is working correctly when you go into
Control Panel and look at Automatic Updates all the options will be greyed
out thus meaning that this is controlled by Group Policy.
