For security reasons, I need to remove SUS 1.1 from a server. (Actually,
I'm moving it to an internal server that access to the Windows Update Site,
but the outside has no access to the new server). I can't find instructions
on TechNet on how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated -
Thanks,
Mike Ober.

Figured it out - run the installer from the command line with /?. Then
rerun it using the switches to use a specified directory and extract the
files only. Change to that directory and enter the command

msiexec -x SUSSetup.msi

Answer "Yes" to begin the removal process.

Then install SUS to the new server and resynchronize and approve the
updates. You need to remove the original installation before installing on
the new server because the installer looks around for other installations
and makes the new installation a "slave" to the original one.
