Can you folks tell me if SUS is supported for
installation
on a Windows 2000 cluster server.

Links to any supporting documentation would be
appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Martin

IIS 4 & 5 is cluster-aware, but I'm not sure about the SUS synch service
which would also need to be cluster-aware, so I guess the answer is maybe.
I haven't read anything suggesting that you can do it. But why do it
anyway? Clustering is generally intended for very high availability apps.
If our SUS server went down for a day, I don't think anyone would even
notice, let alone care that it went down.
Seems like a waste of resources to cluster it. Even load balancing isn't
necessary with SUS because of the way it schedules updates and you can have
a secondary server synched up to handle the load if you think you need one.

Just my 2 cents.

I have SUS running on a W2K cluster but it is not
clustered, for the reason listed below I don't think it is
important enough to have clustered.

P.S. Is there any way of knowing how much data is
downloaded/syncronised with the updates to SUS?
