I followed the instructions in the SUS white paper.
I created a GPO at this test OU, and I have a couple of test accounts in
the test OU. I added the wuau.adm template and set it up to "notify
when updates ready to download and updates ready to install". When I
log in as one of the test users that are located in the test OU, I don't
get the automatic updates dialog box dimmed (as experienced by other
people).
I know my GPO object is working because when I enabled "Hide network
icon on desktop", it works.
The domain users group is added to the local administrators group on the
machine. Machine is a windows 2000 SP3.
Any ideas?
