Hi,
My SUS server is working just perfect, and I have no
problem with it. The thing that I would like to change
though is the way hotfixes, SPs, and security updates are
installed on my domain computers!

My users are all DOMAIN USERS, and none of them is the
administrator of his own computer. I noticed that if the
logged on users in not the administrator of the computer,
no updates occure! Instead, when I log in using a domain
administrator account, I get the updates as soon as I
logon.

Is there a way to let my users install the service packs
other than making them the admin or their own pcs?

Thanks

If you could please be kind enough and send me a mail if

You might want to check out the SUS deployment guide.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/susdeployment.mspx

My guess is that you have the AUoptions set to download and notify. Only
adminstrators will see this notification.
Try AUOption of 4 is you are not already doing so...
AUOptions
Range = 2|3|4. 2 = notify of download and installation, 3 = automatically
download and notify of installation, and 4 = automatic download and
scheduled installation. All options notify the local administrator.

Hope that helps,
