Pablo Cibraro

Hi, My name is Pablo Cibraro (www.dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/cibra).
I'm a software developer of a company called Lagash (www.lagash.com), lately
I've been working in some interesting projects from the Microsoft PAG team.
In a few days I will start to work in a microsoft project to simplify the
development of outlook addins, so I'm like to know the most frecuent
problems and doubts of a developer when he tries to develop a addin for
outlook.
Please, feel free to give me some suggestions or ideas you have to make the
addin development easier.

Thanks
Pablo.

LOL.

1) Incomplete object model.

2) Lack of documentation and samples for producing a single add-in with .NET
languages that works with multiple versions of Outlook.

3) Tons of undocumented "gotchas" that you only uncover through trial and
error.

Hmmmmm...

1. I agree with Sue

2. Lack of set of tools for work around some known problems. As an
example - AddInMon is free and good, but in some cases does not fit
clients security requirements (no sources available), so it can not be
part of a solution.

3. Still out there are a lot of Outlook 2000 users. Unified and
optimized PIA will be a great help.

4. Repeat of Sue's No. 2

Cheers
Sunny
