MSAS detects and seems to remove SurfeSidekick3. But
after a reboot it's back as big and bold as ever.

I have tried several other products also.

Has anybody had any luck removing this bad boy?

From Plun;
If you choose to uninstall Surf Sidekick, you can do so
easily from the Add/Remove Programs option available in
the Control Panel in your Windows' Settings.

You can access the Add/Remove Programs option by
following these instructions:

Click "Start" button on your Desktop
Choose "Settings"(if you have Windows XP skip this step)
Find and select "Control Panel"
In the "Control Panel" click "Add/Remove Programs"
When list of programs opens, find and select "Surf
Sidekick" (older versions may be called "TV Media")
Click "Change/Remove" button
Restart you computer after uninstalling the program

Surfsidekick has a selfdefense when an antispy program
tries to remove it it downloads another exe. file in
startup. Now there are two versions and the anti spy
deletes one but the other remains to load at reboot. I do
not know how to combat this . www.Surfsidekick.com says
the program must be removed in control panel add remove
programs but that would not work for me. You are correct.
It is a bad boy! Maybe the guys at MSAS have a solution
other than a reinstall Windows.

I think I finally have removed it. Here's what I did.

I ran MSAS and had it delete SurfSidekick but before I
rebooted I used Add/Remove programs to also remove it
(this must remove the other version). After a reboot it
seems to be gone.

Hi,

I am also interested to find out a way to get rid of this
one. Am having the same issue and have been unable to
send a scan report to Microsoft.
