After downloading kazaa this Surfer bar appeared as a
toolbar for my internet explorer. IT changes my home page
to surferbar.com everytime I click onto explorer and I
cannot figure out how to get it away. THanks.

You need Ad-Aware and KazaaBeGone.

Ad-Aware and update to the latest reference file.
Select all items detected and remove.
You may have to reboot and rerun to completely remove the nasties.

Get SpyBot Search & Destroy and update to the latest reference
file.

SpyBot How-To: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

SpywareBlaster to prevent these nasties installing.

You should update and run this at least once a week.

No, it doesn't detect it. I also have my browser locked there as my start
page. I have tried everything I know of to get it gone, but nothing works. I
have tried parasite detection, ad-aware, spy detection, and virus scan. I
never downloaded kazaa or anything else. It got me from a random pop-up from
somewhere. Any other ideas on how to get it gone?

I forgot. Not only will it not unlock from surferbar, but it has also taken
the address toolbar off my browser and added the links bar. I can't get that
back to the way I had it set either. I also tried changing the values in the
registry, those were reset as soon as I left what I was doing. I've gone
nuts trying to figure out what it could be.
