reas all sectors and have a look at the return codes. For those
read the appropriate standard, i.e. (S)ATA, SCSI or USB/FireWire.

i tried scan disk and checked whther there were any bad sectors ... i
found 64 bad sector .... i tried to run my program using DOS interrupt
INT 13h 02h .... and checked for the status .... but i am not getting
even 1 bad sectors ... i thought scan disk might not have given me
wrong information....., so wanted to make sure whether my procedures
works or not ....

Scandisk did not find any bad sectors.
It is simply reporting 32KB of bad clusters marked in FAT,
which could be the result of single bad sector that is long gone.

Scandisk/chkdsk is completely worthless for testing disks.
