supported image type to display in XP MCE

I can only get images in Bitmap to display in the Media Center. Is this the
only supported image type that the Media Center recognizes? Do I have to
convert all my jpegs to bitmap?

Thank you John for your advise but I guess I wasn't specific enough.

When I use the "Green Button" to bring up the "Media Center" in XP MCE and
or use a media extender in another room, I have choices to view TV, Videos,
Listen to music and to view pictures. If I choose to view pictures the only
pictures that are viewable through "Media Center" are those that are bitmap.

Yes, I can view my other photos in other image types (jpeg) in other
programs, just not viewable through the "Media Center"
