I have difficulty in printing the large paper 13X19 manual feed. HP
support is so so they think it maybe the paper thickness(Konica) but I
don't think so. It has no problems on the next size down 11X17. It
is had to catch most times and when it does it spits if out
prematurely.?????

Is there any web sites for this kind of printing challange? or
suggestions......

I have the 1220C and have the same problems. I gave up on getting help from
HP. I use the normal front feed and just hold the paper by both sides and
push it into the printer as it starts to feed, being careful to keep it
straight. I do this with the top cover open so I can see if it has gone all
the way in to the proper location. I am using Epson 13x19 premium semigloss
10mil thick paper. To print with the top open you need to stick a piece of
card or paper into the slot where the plastic tab on the cover usually goes.
If it fails to go all the way in just push the cancel button and try again.
It's a big pain but I get some beautiful 12x18 photos this way.

Ok I was having tons of problems with the read feed on the HP 1220c. But I managed to get it fixed. What I did was to scrub, and I mean scrub with soap and water the rear rubber feeds. Then I used this product Rubber Renue from Microcenter http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0210026 on the rubber feeds. I coated it several time with a small paintbrush. That did the trick, it works fine now.
