Hi,

I am building a database using MS ACCESS 2000. The text data I need to
store in the table must be able to store Chinese, Korean and Thai. For some
reason, when I enter the Chinese and Korean text in the table, they all
displayed as squares. But Thai language work just fine.

Any suggestion is welcome...

Thanks

Jean

Hi Jean,

Probably this is because the font that Access is using to display the
field doesn't contain Chinese and Thai characters. Try setting it to the
same font you're using to see the characters in other applications.

They are both using Arial font. Everything runs perfectly from the
development workstation with Win2000/Office XP to develop this ACCESS 2000
application. However, when copied this database over to a platform, Mac OS10
running Windows 2000 Enmulation and Office 2000, the Chinese and Korean
characters turns to squares. The Windows 2000 & Office 2000 install is
patched up-to-date with latest SP.

Here are my additional questions:

1) How do I copy the font files from one workstation to another ?

2) Are there more langugage supports on Office XP than Office 2000 ?

Thanks

Jean
