Oh brother. I suppose you don't like being told what side of the road you
can drive on. Another wannabe anarchist.
I think its obvious what I meant....
No, it's not.
There disadvantages of OC'n electronics of any kind even in the hands of experienced
people that have 'burned' a few in the past to get where they are. THEN
say Ok I'll produce a niche market company and supply OC'd
boards to people that don't have the knowledge to do it themselves.
When manufacturers make products, there is manufacturing tolerances built
in. Some products come out "high", some come out "low". This is true
whether you're making golf clubs or CPUs. Some CPUs come out able to work
faster than others. I don't buy because I don't know how to overclock. I
buy because they have done the testing, and assured me that the processor
will function correctly at the stated speed. I pay them to do this for me,
because I don't feel like buying 5 processors, testing to see which will run
the fastest and most reliably, and then selling the other 4. I don't do a
volume business like they do, so I can't afford the overhead.
..then the MB produced made Oc'n way easier and supplied
manuals on how to do it...see where I'm coming from?
Yes. Maybe that's why. But that argument applies to other businesses that
haven't gone out of business. And some businesses with "good business
statistics" go out of business. Sunshinestar had a good product, and I
bought from them multiple times. The systems have been running well for
years. And their price was pretty low. I suspect they went out of business
for the same reason that tons of other online businesses have stopped.
