Superimpose Time and Date

I have a Canon ZR70MC digital video camera and am trying
to import video into Windows Movie Maker. I can import
video fine, the problem comes when I try to put the date
and time (that was recorded when the tape was recorded)
onto the imported video, while recording. I can't figure
out how to do it. I called Canon and they said that it
might be a setting in MovieMaker that is not allowing it
to record date and time. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
