Hi,
Could someone please direct me to the right place to find out how to connect
an Access 2000 database to a SunSystems database? I need to download records
from SunSystems and update tables in Access.
Thank you for your help.

I do not know if you can use the File | Get External Data | Link | ODBC
source for a Sun Systems database. It may require a download of a special
driver. However, if you can export the data from the SunSystems database
into ASCII, Excel or any format that Access recognizes under the File | Get
External Data..., then you should have no problem in creating a table in
Access with the exported data.

Thank you for the reply.
I guess the option of exporting data to Excel is the easiest, however, I
need to have the download automated with a one button click.
You don't think a VBA code such as the MyTableDef.Connect=.... would be able
to connect to the database and than I would need to get the SQL codes to
update the tables in Access?
I read an article in technet but it is for Access 95.
Regards,
Aniko
