The microsoft java wouldn't work at some sites (don't much care either) but
just for the heck of it and because I could, I downloaded the sun java. Now
every once in a while when I'm at a site (my favorite radio station)that
wanted the sun java, the screen will suddenly go to a resolution of
somewhere around 480x3200.I'm not certain on the width but it would span
about 3 17" monitors. I don't care if I have java or not, but it does
concern me that my video does that. I have an g4mx440 with the evga 56.56
drivers and a samsung syncmaster monitor. 2 little words for sun java on my
system.....see ya! I would like an idea or 2 on why it does that. If it was
a java problem there would be a lot of complaints so it is an issue on my
end.

Hi Mike,

It could have been a bad installation of Java caused by a corrupt
download or install caused by firewall or antivirus interference.

I would download and install Java again if you need it but only
after you shut down the aformentioned software. I don't think
it's necessary to test or reinstall your video drivers for this issue
since you haven't had any other problems except that one. :-)
