Hi there,

I want a formula to add the digits of a cell e.g. 1234, the total
would be 10, tried this forumla
'SUM(1*MID(A2,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(A2))),1))' and resulted in answer
'1'.

Please, help, i am in urgent need.

Thanks

Rashi

Rashi,

The formula you refer to is an array formula, so you *must* press CTRL
SHIFT ENTER rather than just ENTER when you first enter the formula
and whenever you edit it later. If you do this correctly, Excel will
display the formula enclosed in curly braces { }. For lots more
information about array formulas, see
