SUMIF or SUMPRODUCT Help

Hi everyone;

I have a problem I need help with, I am trying to calculate a subtotal for
each department in a formula here and cant seem to figure it out. Below is
the table, what I want to do is copy the formula and paste it down column D'
which is the sub Totals Column. I can't use the subtotals tool because of
the size of the database and how often my info changes. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
