I've googled till I'm blind and I can not figure out why my sum won't show
up in any other form than the formula I entered?

No matter if it's addition/sub/multiplication - when I click on the cell
where I want the answer, then type =C3*C4 - it just remains that formula -
it doesn't show the answer - I've formatted the cells as currency - but
nothing I do seems to make a difference - I'm using Office Suite 2007 - can
anyone help me please?

Pam

Hi Pam,

After formatting, re-enter the formula (F2, ENTER)

Hi Pam

it sounds as though your cell may have been preformatted as Text.
Format it as General>F2 to edit formula>Enter
It should now appear as the result of the formula.

Alternatively, you may have toggled on the options to Display formulas.
It is Control + ` (Control + Grave accent) which is located on the key
immediately to the left of 1 on the top row of the keyboard (on my UK
keyboard).
Pressing this key combination again will toggle back to Results mode.

Office button, Excel Options, Advanced, Display Options for this
worksheet. UNcheck the box for "Show formulas in cells instead of their
calculated results"
