Sum should be negative

I have a sum formula that totals a column that includes IF formulas. The
column displays -2.5 in the first field, the remaining fields that make up
the total are zero. The total displays 2.5, a positive rather than a
negative. The formula in the total is =SUM(AI8:AI33). When I copy and paste
the column it shows up as follows. The positive numbers displayed do not
appear in excel, nor should they. To complicate things additions to this
column add to the total of the next column. There is not reference to these
cells in the second column.

Hi,

What is the format that is applied to A18:AI33?

what does this statement mean: "The positive numbers displayed do not appear
in excel, nor should they."? You show us positive number but say they aren't
there???

Please clarify

Thanks,
Shane Devenshire
