sum of selected cells not showing at the bottom of screen

normally, if i select 2 or more cells that have numbers in
them, i can see the sum at the bottom right of my screen,i
can't see this now. does anyone know how to restore this?
 
If "None" is selected, then right-click on the status bar
and choose "Sum." Or, you may have to unhide your status
bar (View > Status Bar), then tell it to sum.
