For sum reason (pun intended) i am getting a sum error on my report.
in the report header section of the report i have a field with the
control expression : =Sum([shpt pcs])

in the main body of the continuous report i have a field [shpt pcs].
in the table the field is set to a number field (not text field etc).

for some reason i can't get the sum expression to calculate the total
for me.

any ideas are greatly appreciated

(when i try the exact same thing in the form it seems to work
perfectly)

tks
Steve

If your control is in the report header and not the PAGE header, I see no
reason for this to fail.

I just tested this and got the expected result.

If you are using the report header, I would suggest you try building a simple
report and try the expression (or a similar one) to see if it works. If it
does work, then perhaps you have some corruption in your database application.
