sum a table??

I have created a table on a Power Point slide. One column in that table is
filled with numerical information. Is there a way to "sum" that column?
Cannot seem to find it anywhere.

Not in PowerPoint I'm afraid. Maybe workaround it using a pasted Word or
Excel table.

Yeah, that's what I did. Pasted in an Excel worksheet. Just wondered if I
was missing something in Power Point.
 
this might help: it was a response by Sandy Johnson to the question "Insert
a scrolling worksheet in PPT" - When you are in slideshow view, you can sum
total and even enter data:
