Suggstion for Vuescan: embbed parameter data

A suggestion for Ed. I just scanned a whole series of images before panorama
assembly. Then I discovered that one image was missing, so now I need to
redo the whole thing to avoid parameter discrepancy.
Would it be possible to have the option to save all the parameters in text
format (possibly the ini file) inside the TIF/JPEG files, in the creator
fields or the EXIF data ? That's a lot of text but can come in handy in
cases like this, and I don't think it'd be that complicated to do.

For such tasks - essentially for all 'line' tasks - I always set my
parameters and immediately save them as an INI file for later use. To
save them within the image file automatically sounds good but has to
comply to metadata standards, in this case XML since IPTC core
wouldn't accommodate all data needed.
