Hi --

I need to install an email program that will allow me to export only one
group from my contacts. This was easily accomplished in Outlook Express
because you could use multiple wabs, but apparently it cannot be done in
either Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail.

This seems like a pretty basic function and I can't believe I'm the only
person with a need to do this. Has anyone found a program where this is
possible?

Usually I "go with the flow" when new programs are introduced but I am
getting pretty discouraged with MS at this point.

Thanks.

It depends how much data you need to export for each contact.
If you only need the name and email address, that is fairly easy.
Windows Live Mail does this easier than WM, so I'll describe the
Windows Live Mail procedure: Start a new message,
click on To. When the contacts list opens click the Group name you
want, then click the "To->" button, OK.
Back in the message click the + in front of the Group name, which
then expands into the individual member contacts. Select All, Copy,
and Paste where you need the results.

In Windows Live Mail, you can achieve the same effect as OE's
multiple wabs by using different Live ID sign-ins, such as one for
work-related contacts, and another for personal contacts.
