I want to build a new system to improve video editing speed, etc,
since my other system is 2 years old. Any suggestions on a
Motherboard and processor? I can figure out the rest from there.

Sure.

Get 2 quad core processors on a Tyan ATXe board, 2 Seagate 36 gig 15K rpm
SAS drives in raid 0 for your operating system, 6 Seagate 750 gig 7200 rpm
sata drives configured in raid 5 for your video storage, both on a on an
adaptec 4805 hardware raid PCIe controller. about 8 gigs of DDR2 667 ram (or
if the MB will take it DDR2 800) - try to get CAS 3 latency, on a windows 64
bit system or a vista 64 bit system, Lian Li case, a few SLI graphics cards,
....that should cover it. ...or did you have some type of budget in mind?

Intel Bad Axe 2 board + Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800.
Otherwise, buy a Dell.

For the money I think for your purposes you would get the most bang for the
buck with an Asus P5BE-Deluxe motherboard and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 CPU.
