Suggestion: tab browsing also in explorer shell

IE7 has the tab browsing. Why not insert the tabs also into the explorer
shell in order to browse the folders in several tabs?

This has been sent in as a wish by many persons in the BETA, but I am afraid
you might not see it in this release of Windows. There is always the
possibility though that anything can happen between now and RTM. The thing
about it though, is having on Explorer window with multiple windows in tabs,
you would have to have a thumbnail gallery view on the taskbar.

Also to remember, Internet Explorer 7 is totally nothing to to with Windows
Explorer - two seperate programs (thank God) so it wouldn't mean that they'd
be able to work together in that sense :o(

In XP, it would utilize the same window.

No. If you have IE7 on Windows XP SP2 , explorer shell is separated by
internet explorer such as Windows Vista.

That's because XP and IE6 are practically engaging in intercourse with each
other... this is why when I installed the (leaked *cough*) version if IE7
before the Beta 2 Preview came out, it screwed up IE as well as Explorer.

Well you can't blame me though... we'd been running IE7 5112 for bloody
months and it was just plain boring!
