suggestion for a feature in windows xp sp2 to clone entire hard dr

Hello,

I have a suggestion for windows xp sp2.
Microsoft should release an update for windows xp sp2 that lets users
clone their entire hard drive onto CD's or DVD's.
This would be great for users who have a small hard drive, and want to buy
a new hard drive, and have all their programs, settings etc on the new hard
drive, without the need to install the O/S again and have to install all
their programmes again. Can you pass this suggestion onto the microsoft
windows xp team please?

You want Microsoft to proceed into another facet of computer software?
What's wrong with third party software?

Examples:
Symantec/Norton Ghost

Acronis True Image

BootItT NG
http://terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html

Not to mention that usually when you purchase a new hard disk drive (retail)
you get software from the manufacturer like:
http://support.wdc.com/download/index.asp?cxml=n&pid=999&swid=53

Where you can make a copy of your hard drive to the new hard drive.

MacRule

Try Seagate/DiscWizard or Maxtor/MaxBlast, you can download that from
their web site.

yes but you have to pay for all that software and it'd be great if microsoft
built this into windows xp sp2.
