I am finding MMII to be pretty darn good software that is
very easy to use. The only things that I woulkd like to
see is a 3rd audio channel and ability to directly burn
DVDs.

Does anyone know if these items are being considered for
MMIII?

The MPEG codecs required for DVD burning have to be licensed, so they would
have to be paid for....

I guess you can have a MM3 that's free and without DVD burning abilities or
an MM3 that has DVD burning capability... but costs you $s.

So here's the question.... how much would you pay for it to burn DVDs? I
have no idea whether there are any plans for a MM3, but you can at least
consider how much you'd pay for the additional functionality.

Windows has licenced Roxio software for burning CDs using
Windows Media Player. I expect within the next year or so
that DVDs will become as popular or more popular than
CDs, so it does not necessarily follow that Microsoft
will continue to insist on customers having to purchase
3rd party DVD burning software.

If MM3 incorporates the features that I want, I may
consider paying up to $100.
