Howdy-

I'd like an application that shows my DSL activity in the systray like I
used to see with my old dial-up connection. Does such a beast exist?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, then you can
just enable the system tray icon for network traffic I think. On my
Win2k machine I just right click on My Network Places and select
Properties. Then I right click on Local Area Connection and select
Properties again. Then in the lower left corner at the bottom I enable
"Show icon in taskbar when connected". That puts the icon in the system
tray showing traffic. Should work in a similar fashion on WinXP I would
guess.

Or if you want something better:

This option is not present in Win 98SE. If you just want a DSL network
traffic indicator in the systray, use LanLight (suggested to me here a
couple of days ago)
