cpu, 3d card and or hdd.
im using:

Mobo - Gigabyte X48 DS5
3D card - XFX Geforce 9800 GTX+

its essentionaly a gaming pc but I use it for the Internet aswell.
Or is there an add in like card that can go into a pc case that has warning

Your motherboard has an option in the bios to warn you that the CPU is
overheating. It's even adjustable, so you can decide what is too hot,
within a certain range. You shouldn't have to worry too much about a hard
drive or video card overheating, unless your case is really small with poor
airflow. But if you want to help keep the hard drive and video card cool,
you should look for a case with SIDE fan mount(s) so you can pull in more
cool air near the video card, to supply cool intake air to the video card's
own cooler. Just about all cases have a fan mount near the hard drive case.
The following is an example of a case that will help you cool your hard
drive and video card. -Dave

They got things like that, sensor-controls for fans and unique LED
displays. Augments for a case, usually into a 5-1/4 bay. Saw one on
sale recently, though usually a pretty penny. Built right, that's why
they're ancillaries and not a focus of better mainstream case designs.

Its doesnt have a overheat warning feature, thats usually done by the
MB but I highly suggest the Antec 902 or Antec 1200 case. Many 120mm
fans , roomy case, huge 200mm blowhole in the top

Antec 902

Nice cases, but what manner of PS will have a power cord that will reach
from the bottom of the case?

Now if only they didn't have the annoying neon and owned a dictionary...

My power connector does and the PS is fairly old, from my old case.

Advanced cooling methods would be my recommendation. They are rather
fun to set up and very, very efficient. You could probably keep your
old case and just upgrade certain portions of your PC. It would also
likely cost you the same amount to buy a new case as it would to add
additional cooling.

A couple of the cheaper fast options (remember I said cheaper not
necessarily inexpensive) I can think of are:

1 - 'Oil Cooling' (http://tinyurl.com/dltzat) which is well cool
although a new case will probably be necessary unless you have one
that is sealed at the rims and upgrades will be a bit of a hassle.

2- Use a Peltier Cooler. 'This one by ChilTec'
(http://tinyurl.com/3ba7uj) is rather inexpensive and gets the job
done. Benefits are cooling comparable to water coolers without the
hassel and simple install. Downside is increased electricity draw and
size.

3- Get fan controllers and or heat sensors for the front panel of your
PC to monitor and control the temperature as necessary. 'There is some
cool stuff by AeroCool here.' (http://www.aerocool.us/peripheral.htm)

More expensive and hassle full methods are:

1- 'Water cooling'
(http://www.crazypc.com/products/h2o-220-ultima-9372.html) although
some cheaper models can go for around $100, but this is not
necessarily good as the quality is usually not as high (do you want
water to leak on your PC?). The water could be replaced with mineral
oil which doesn't cost very much though.

2- Buy a new rig with plenty of space and a good fan system. Maybe
even add a couple extra like a HD fan. 'The Mozart by ThermalTake'
(http://tinyurl.com/azdkz9) is pretty sweet.

3- Imagine it. Make your own crazy combo cooling rig involving some or
all methods mentioned.

Whatever your desire I think a new case can be avoided since it will
be more work to transfer everything and make sure it works. However,
if you would just like a new one then go for it. An individual or
partial case upgrade I think is best.

Hello. Apparently you are new to Usenet. When replying to a post,
please include the quoted text you are responding to, just as I have
included yours.

It makes it much easier to follow the thread and not have to go back and
forth between posts to see what the other person(s) had/have said.

Thanks!

Gonna go with the first post on this. Antec Nine Hundred case. I
didn't know they had a 902, but I have a Nine Hundred and DAMN it's a
beast. Set the fans to high for a gaming session and my temps go so
low. The top fan pushes more air than all the other fans in my case
combined. The case is a beast, and it's sexy too.

Accepts my 8800GTX, so it's definally large. Just make sure you get a
PSU with long cables. The PSU is mounted on the bottom.

Ha! Bought mine w/out much of a look other than it's Antec on sale
for half-price (shipped for $49 or something, no PS). Didn't realize
I've now another gamer case until looking at it more closely after
reading your post. Noticed that top fan, though, at the time,
intriguing for never having a top vent worth a damn -- hmm...this time
you say it's different. Cool, more good stuff ontop of more adequate
than less room, as for an initial incentive to buy it. Have an Antec
all-aluminum LanBoy I've been running with for years -- could be be
tempting, the 900 series and all stainless steel withstanding, once I
it out of the box. Primary focus is going to be on air-ducting and
filtration, though, the LanBoy being about up to its neck and had for
all-time honorary dustbunny filth collection award (apart from being
the best case I've yet owned).
