Suddenly Office 2007 Files don't open

I was working on some files in Office 2007 yesterday and now none of the
files in either Word or Powerpoint will open (I don't have any other files in
office 2007 created).

As a test, I created a mini powerpoint presentation, saved it and then tried
to re-open it. That file also didn't open.

At first I thought it had something to do with downloading the new Internet
Explorer 7 that I did today. So I uninstalled it to try and correct the
problems in Office, without effect.

Then I figured I'd try re-installing Office 2007, but then I noticed that I
can't find Office 2007 to download, only a version that a user can test while
online.

Does anyone have any info on this mystery?

Also, when is Office 2007 actually being made available?

Yes, the Office 2007 beta is no longer available for download. It should be
released to the public sometime in January.

You might try running a repair (Office Button|PPT Options) and see if that
fixes things.

Have you installed or enabled any antivirus programs since files would open
properly?
