Suddenly, I Can't delete text

I'm not sure what I have done, but I must have made a change that now
prevents me from highlighting text and hitting the delete key and deleting
it. I can highlight it and cut it, but not delete it. When I do the edit
menu, 'delete' does not appear as an option anymore.
I have tried to find something in options under tools to correct this, but I
haven't been able to figure it out. HELP!
Thank you

A good starting point would be to state the application
you're in. Outlook? Excel? Word? Notepad? Other?

Yo probably turned on "Navigation keys for WordPerfect users".
See, Tools, Options, General.

In this case you should post your question in an MS Word
newsgroup. Don't forget to state the exact version of Word!

There never was a "delete" under the Edit Menu in Word 2003

Try Edit>Clear>Contents

Checked and that's exactly what I did. Not sure how, but that cured it. Thank
you very much.

Sorry, I generally just highlighted an hit the delete key - guess I just
figured there would be a delete option under edit. Anyway, Bob I had the
answer - works fine now. Thanks
