In th epast week I've suddenly started getting popup error messages whenever
I try download ing files from some of my regular download sites. The error
popup states "Your current security settings do now allow this file to be
downloaded!" and yet in my IE security settings Dowload Files is set to
"Enabled"! Has anyone else been running up against this recently?

Steve.,

Follow the directions on this site and hopefully all should be alright.

Unfortunately I tried what that article suggested BEFORE posting here. I
lowered my settings all the way to LOW and I still get that message on those
problem sites. What's really weird is that one Site, renderosity.com only
gives me that error message when trying to download from just one of their
freebie creators but not any of the rest.

Well I found out that the hosted files were on a freeweb server that were
linked to externally from Renderosity. I was able to access them by removing
their hostname from my restricted sites list.
