I'm getting this message every time I try to send e-mail... How do I fix?

Subject '', Account: 'pop3.live.com', Server: 'smtp.live.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Server Response: '250 OK', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error:
250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

If any one is using Avast! they had an update about a week ago that is
wreaking havoc for certain e-mail users. You must go in and turn off the
"scan outgoing e-mail" device!!

Do you have a link to the Avast web site with more information? It will
certainly help other people if you can provide that.

Did you determine that was the problem causing the error (AV email scanning)
or do you still have an issue? Yes, most all of the AV programs eventually
interfere with email and some have to be uninstalled and "custom"
reinstalled, deselecting the email scanning option, to REALLY turn it off -
even if they have a checkbox in their desktop app. Here's the Live setup if
you need it:

Live.com Settings:

Server names and ports:
POP3 = pop3.live.com Port = 995
SMTP = smtp.live.com Port = 587

Checkboxes you need to check include:

Server Tab: "My server requires authentication" (Click "Settings" button
also and fill in "Log on Using" email address - *** but do NOT check the
checkboxes there . . . .)

Advanced Tab: BOTH outgoing and incoming - "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)"

General Tab (if desired but generally recommended): "Include this account
when receiving mail or synchronizing"

Should work - if you get errors post the entire error message (cut-n-paste)
for further assistance.
