My HP 3310 is wirlessly connected to my home network on which I have
an XP MCE desktop and and XP PRO laptop. Everything has been working
up to yesterday.
Suddenly the desktop machine cannot connect to the printer, I get the
message "the print spooler was unable to connect to the printer. This
can be caused by your printer being turned off (it isnt), the cable
being uplugged (no cable - it's wireless) or being connected to a VPN
which will block access to your local network (no VPN that I am aware
of)"
Trying the scanner from the desktop results in the message "hpscnvw
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience" . How helpful
Now I can print from my laptop ok which says to me that the printer is
all good. The desktop Printers and Faxes window shows the 3310 as
"ready", and I cant discover what might be the problem.
Any ideas?
