Suddenly can't connect remotely

I have two clients (I do their accounting) to which I connect. For each, I
log into their static IP address with my user id and password.

I haven't had any trouble with them until today. I cannot log into either,
so it may a problem with my computer. However, both of my clients are
located in the same building and have the same IP address, except for the
last three digits. Would this have something to do with it?

I have not changed any settings on my computer. Any thoughts? Oh, I and
both clients use Windows XP, and they use a Dell server (probably small
business server, but I don't know for sure.

Any thoughts?

It may be a firewall issue on their end. Can you, or anyone, log onto their
PCs with Remote Desktop from another PC on their local network? I would
contact the network administrator of their network to see if any changes
were made to their firewall. If they are using SBS (ie. Small Business
Server) then I suggest posting to the microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs
news group.

Al,

Thank you so much for your response. As I was waiting for this to open to
see if there were any replies, I read my email. One of the clients replied
to my email about not being able to login to the server.

It turns out the power went out in the building early Sunday. He restarted
server. I just tried, and I can now log on, so it was just a power outage.
Since my other client is in the same building, I'm sure he has the same
issue--he's just not into work yet.

Again, thank you for your timely response.

Great...

Thanks for the update...
