Suddenly can't access Windows update

Both my computers running W2k suddenly cannot access the Windows Update
site. All I see is an explanation that I must be logged on as Administrator
to access the site. I AM logged on as Administrator; always have been. I
haven't changed any user/passwords, etc. any ideas why this is happening?

FWIW, I also have one computer running WinXP Pro, SP1, and have NO trouble
accessing the Windows update site. ???

When this happend to me I had to format and reinstall. I
tried everything before that. I'm not saying format right
now but you might want to get ready for this.

Yes! I'm not running the software mentioned, but now I see what may be the
