Suddenly can't access hotmail & message board

All of a sudden I can't get into my hotmail. I put in my
log in info and then I get the 'page cannot be displayed'
message. This also happens when I try and post to one of
my regular message boards. I can read the other posts but
when I hit reply I get the 'page cannot be displayed'
message again. I'm wondering if it's something to do with
my settings but I hadn't altered them. My security
setting is 128 bit (if that's the right term?!). Has
anyone else struck this before?

it is probably a firewall ? did you have slammer and
install or enable the xp firewall?
