Hi
I surf the internet on a cable connection via USB plug. After I leave the computer the connection is dieing

If you have the option, I'd recommend that you have the connection 'keep alive'- send a small amount of data every so often to keep the connection alive. If you dont have this option in your setup, it may pay for you to download a free program that will do it for you. Check out SnapFiles.com or Download.com for software that will 'keep alive' your connection.

As addition to what Lenny said.
Microsoft sets power management options on many devices. If you go to device
manager and open your universal serial bus controllers section and select
each usb root hub in turn. Open the properties, go to the Power Management
tab and uncheck the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save
power". Can't guarantee anything but this used to help my partner with game
pad problems
