Such a simple problem!

This is only one little problem, that's driving me crazy! I have a
Win2k (DC) RRAS server with 1 NIC serving dial in clients and VPN
connections from the net. Here's the problem, the internal adaptor in
RRAS (which gets IP from DHCP) registers itself with DNS, WINS and is
also causing problems with the Browser service, because the server now
thinks it's multihomed. I can't seem to find anything in the news
groups or the MS KB that can tell me how to either give the internal
adaptor of RRAS the same address as the NIC on the server or how to
change the bindings of the RRAS internal adaptor so it does'nt
register itself with DNS etc. I have managed to find info on a
UnboundBindings reg key, but that is only going to fix my browser
service problems. It seems like it would be such a common problem, why
can't I find an answer! Please help.
Thanks,
James Roberts

Have a look at KB 289735 and 292822. The disable Netbios over TCP/IP
registry change (in 292822) should solve the browser problems.

These should do it.
