I would like to acknowledge a sincere thank you to the folks at "ESET"
(NOD32). Their determination, during my impatience has provided me with the
best AV program possible. During my spewing of condemnation one of their
people (won't say his name but it starts with MARK) offered me a full
refund. He also offered an alternative means for me to acquire NOD32. He
graciously sent me an "exe" file which i successfully downloaded using a
different browser. I now feel that my computer has the maximum protection
possible!
I would like to thank the members of this group who recommended persistence
when i was about to give up.

Thanks To All

.... all this smells of spam!!

This is not spam!
If you would care to backtrack a bit you will notice that i had a problem
with nod32. Don't be so quick to judge, (like i did) before you gather the
facts!

.... yes I have seen all your previous posts but you need to wait awhile
before making sweeping grandoise statements like you did. It takes awhile
to find out if any software especially anti-virus software works as
advertised; if it and your machine survive the next big round of viruses
please let us know. All info. is appreciated.

Mr. Dudhorse,
I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I just want to know why you accused my submission to the ng as spam when you
claimed to have read my previous comments?

Maybe Mr. Dudhorse works for Norton?

I've been using NOD32 for nearly three years now and have never had a
problem with it, it seems very small, clean and tidy, easy to update with
new defs, and it does what it's supposed to. Before that I had the
misfortune to have Norton Systemworks for a year, which, in the end was a
complete write-off. It totally knackered my system.

Perhaps, because some of the old Sods here about have been there and done
that so many times, they forget what it feels like to experience that first
moment of successful triumph. As a mere novice, I can only wish I were that
smart and expereinced, to not need to have to ask others for help here, or
anywhere else. Nor feel a desire to extend my gratitude to a group of
people who freely gave of their time to offer advice and morale support.

Ah...to be this smart, that I don't need to know anything more than I do at
this moment. Jeeezzz...what a head rush just thinking of it........if only
I could envy these folks.

Jan :)
