When creating a discussion web do I check the box to
include to existing web? do I give it a unique name or
scroll the list of webs? Thanks

Do I have to put a guest book also in a subweb?

Thanks

No, you enter the path that includes the current open web / and the name you
want to give the subweb

currentwebname/discussionsubwebname

It is a good idea to separate any content, such as the guest book where you
have user updating the content into a separate subweb, so that you don't
have to be concerned about overwriting the content when doing normal site
updates.

Ok great.

When I'm creating the Discussion Web with the wizard do I
save an Index page for that subweb? or just a TOC page?
and what is the diff if I do or not?

thanks

FP will automatically create a home page, index.htm, etc. when you have it
create the subweb.

I created 2 subwebs and one created a TOC page and the
other created an index page. I know it did prompt me with
a question on saving a home page; somthing to that effect.
On the first web I replied NO; So possibly on the 2nd
subweb I didn't see it and it saved the TOC as an index. I
guess it really doesn't matter?
