I have a subweb created in FP2002, win2k, sp4. Lost
password; had host (earthlink) reset password, I added a
new user/pwd and now have access to subweb via browser.
Still cannot access with FP; still looking for original
user/pwd. Is there any way to reset pwd (thru server
administration) in FP?

Thanks

Did Earthlink set a userid for browse only or author rights - you need author rights
(IMHO often they don't understand what you are asking when you talk about the FP SE)
Also believe most of their Unix servers are now running the FP2002 SE, so you should be able to get to the FP SE admin yourself
using:
http://www.yourdomain.com/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe?page=webadmin.htm

If it won't mess up your subweb (web unique settings nav bars, etc,) you could open your root web in FP and convert the subweb to a
folder (should remove all unique permissions) then convert it back to a subweb
