Hi Art,
Douglas has provided a good web site that contains samples, such as
Calculate Number of Working Days
http://www.mvps.org/access/datetime/date0006.htm
Most are at this link:
http://www.mvps.org/access/datetime/index.html
There is a KB article showing us how to create a Visual Basic for
Applications
function to determine if a date falls on a weekend or holiday, that seems
meet your requirement "receive date - current date = ?????"
HOW TO: Determine If a Date Falls on a Weekend or a Holiday in Access

Please feel free to reply to the threads if you have any concerns or
questions.
Sincerely,
Alick Ye, MCSD
