Subtracting. From a Sum total

I'll try to make sense. Im calculating available leave for my employees
in my shee
Col J is the sum of Col B3:D
I want column to be the total of col F3:G3 subtracted from J3
I cant figure out a way to do i
Itried K3:=J3-F3:G
anyhelp would be appreciated
